Led the shop floor planning and production targets. Responsible for advising the chief operating officer (COO) and a machine shop team on the operation of CNC (3 & 5 axis), EDM, lathe and manual machines to create products for commercial, military and aerospace customers to exceed requirements for quality and timeliness.
Lead the management of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP – JobBoss2) system in the execution of our business processes.
Act a primary liaison between supply chain and manufacturing divisions on contracts that can be executed on-site with corporate business processes, machines and personnel.
Create and sustain new and existing production efforts with new and existing customers.
Review and translate engineering drawings to assist personnel in the manufacture of machine products.
Manage machining techniques and processes to ensure components are correctly and completely machined in accordance with engineering BOM, machine detail drawing requirements, and quality plans.
Plan, manage and execute workflow procedures to meet production schedules and optimize workflow, set daily priorities, and help maintain productivity within the machine shop. Planning and scheduling jobs in the shop to meet critical production targets for quality and timeliness are met.
Plan and manage the execution and training of enhanced skills and competencies to perform precision machining.
Lead shop floor safety, loss prevention and cost reduction activities.
Lead the troubleshooting and repair of machinery, the purchase repair parts, schedule of repairs and maintenance of machines as needed.
Assist the purchasing department in the acquisition of raw material and supporting items as needed.
