  • Ministry Function: 

    The Global Human Resources Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by managing the alignment of human resources functions of global offices and team members.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Manages, tracks, documents, and maintains all aspects of the global team member life cycle, including creating and maintaining directories, project management dashboards, and HR information system profiles.
    2. Manages the success of international payroll and benefits including:
      • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of international payroll by reviewing the payroll portion of each country’s monthly wire request and global payroll service provider dashboards.
      • Creating, maintaining, and updating the master personnel total compensation tracking document.
      • Developing and distributing reports to internal stakeholders necessary for budget planning.
      • Leading and collaborating with national offices in the implementation of a global payroll service provider.
      • Reviewing and analyzing global payroll data to align with industry standard best-practices. 
      • Acting as the primary contact for international compensation support.
    3. Manages the continuous progress of HR compliance initiatives within assigned countries.
    4. Collaborates with Global HR Director and other cross-functional stakeholders on needed procedures, systems and documentation and then plans, coordinates and devises ways to create and streamline them.
    5. Creates, formats, and maintains ministry description templates for global field personnel positions.
    6. Liaises with the Information Technology working group to provide technical support and equipment needs to global team members.
    7. Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned projects.
    8. All other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
    2. 2 years Human Resources experience or equivalent experience required, international work experience preferred, but not required.
    3. Professional ability to keep all information in strict confidence and operate at the highest level of integrity.
    4. Fluent in Spanish preferred, but not required.
    5. Significant cultural understanding and awareness are required to handle sensitive issues and maintain vital relationships.
    6. Works with patience, optimism, humor, and flexibility.
    7. Ability to champion projects and demonstrate a strong commitment to driving them to successful completion.
    8. Critical thinker who enjoys problem solving and finding solutions.
    9. Capability to deliver clear and consistent communication to team members whose primary language is not English.
    10. Ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs including Google Suite, online project management platforms such as Monday.com, and demonstrate a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    11. Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
    12. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
    13. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
    14. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
