Plant Human Resources Manager designs, plans, and implements human resources programs for a plant. Administers corporate policies relating to compensation, benefits, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs. Being a Plant Human Resources Manager may be responsible for negotiating collective bargaining agreements. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Plant Human Resources Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Plant Human Resources Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. To be a Plant Human Resources Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities
- Administer employee insurance and 401k programs
- Lead talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Process employee payroll on a bi-weekly and monthly basis
- Conduct employee onboarding
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Ensure compliance with multiple state and federal labor laws
Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
