Plant Inspector jobs in Dayton, OH
Plant Inspector inspects finished products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and ensures that final products conform with established tolerance levels for quality and performance. Being a Plant Inspector documents all instances of non-conformance and rejected products in production reports. Prepares required inspection certifications. Additionally, Plant Inspector requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Plant Inspector works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. 2nd shift: 3:10pm-11:10pm
MTNA Greenville is looking for a 2nd shift Technician in the Mold Maintenance department to perform the following:
Essential Job Functions- Complete minor mold repairs.
- Perform PM (preventive maintenance) on injection molds.
- Perform PM (preventive maintenance) on hot runner controllers.
- Basic wiring of mold heaters and core cylinders.
- Load and unload molds from trucks as needed.
- Complete required daily documentation.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for mold repair emergencies.
- 3-5 years experience in tool and die preferred but not required.
- Able to trouble shoot and solve common mold problems.
- Understands the PPE required for safe mold handling and repairs.
- Basic Tig welding.
- AC & DC electrical knowledge.
- Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
- Basic machining skills (mill, drill press, lathe, surface grinder).
- Problem solving techniques.
Training will be on first shift for a period of time before transferring to second shift.
