Description
The Plant Administrator supports, administers, and coordinates daily operations of the assigned power plant. This may include managing, planning, or monitoring the use of personnel, materials, and equipment; coordinating with other plants and corporate operations; providing customer and vendor support and service; assisting with accounts payable and receivable operations; and completing required company, regulatory, and other reporting.
Responsibilities:
Plant Administration
- Complete administrative tasks, such as scheduling, event management, greeting visitors, and monitoring the plant attendance process.
- Complete site orientation training for contractors and plant visitors.
- Process all incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and trucking deliveries; handle all correspondence.
- Monitor office supply and first aid inventories and reorder as necessary.
- Create and maintain monthly operations and maintenance binders.
- File documents in appropriate locations, including physical or cloud-based applications.
- Serve as a support for required environmental sampling and documentation processes.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of plant operations processes to assist, when necessary.
- Review employee timesheets for compliance with company policies and submit them for final approval by the Plant Manager.
- Assist the Plant Manager with budget tracking and planning.
- Submit power scheduling and invoicing to applicable utility partners.
Organizational Support
- Complete daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting for corporate operations and regulatory requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create purchase orders, authorization for expenditures (AFEs), or related requests to support plant operations.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
- Coordinate with Health and Safety and Purchasing team during review and selection of new vendors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One or more years of experience in an office environment. Experience in a manufacturing office preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of or experience with database programs, such as NetSuite or related, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable based on current plant needs.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work in an office environment and use keyboard, mouse, and other related peripheral equipment.
- Ability to view a computer monitor screen and/or mobile device for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to bend, squat, twist, reach, and use hands and arms.
- Ability to withstand outdoor weather elements, e.g., wind, sun, cold, heat, rain, snow or dust.
- Ability to work in a plant environment which may include work near moving machinery, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, loud areas, and hot piping.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, on occasion.

- On-site position based in Animas, New Mexico or surrounding area.
