Plant Inspector inspects finished products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and ensures that final products conform with established tolerance levels for quality and performance. Being a Plant Inspector documents all instances of non-conformance and rejected products in production reports. Prepares required inspection certifications. Additionally, Plant Inspector requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Maintenance Planning Clerk provides administrative and technical support to the Planning Department. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler or the Maintenance Superintendent, this position will be responsible for producing a variety of text, spreadsheet, and graphic documents, as well as preparing a variety of program reports and data products to funding sources, and other planning purposes. Assists in the organization and management of various events and the department’s website. Performs other related duties as required.
Ø Collect and enter into CMMS all documented work performed by technicians
Ø Prepare and post Weekly and Monthly Metrics for the maintenance department
Ø Prepare any budget-related reports as required
Ø Assist planner with development and evolution of the CMMS
Must be able to work independently in a busy, multitasking environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must. Knowledge of CMMS programs and other statistical software a plus.
Technical Skills
Working Knowledge of Maintenance Software System (s); MS products; specifically spreadsheet savvy; and working knowledge of Purchasing system and protocol.
The Planning Clerk must be familiar with applicable maintenance verbiage and terminology in order to effectively assist the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
Responsibilities and Duties
The planning and scheduling function is the hub from which all planned maintenance activity is coordinated. It is the process of describing a job in terms of how it is to be performed and what resources will be required. It involves a broad spectrum of activity.
The Maintenance Planning Clerk will assist the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler with all aspects of the planning process. This may include but is not limited to:
Ø Metrics Documentation (Spreadsheets, Word Document generation)
Ø Technical Library Construction
Ø Collection of Maintenance Paperwork
Ø Data Entry
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Work environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal office environment and construction site as well as climate extremes found in a poultry processing operation and a wastewater treatment facility. This position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities. This position requires an associate to be able to be exposed to all chemical found in a poultry processing operation and a wastewater treatment facility. This associate must wear and/or use protective safety equipment required for the job and for various locations. This associate must be able to travel to remote facilities and/or offices for meetings.
