Position Details : Title : Plant Mechanic (Renewable Energy Plant Operator)Location : Suisun City, CA (Bay Area)Shift : Monday Friday days 6 : 30am 3 : 00pm with on call duty every 3 weeks Fri.

to Fri.Compensation : $32 / hr.- $42 / hr. starting base rate depending on experience and qualifications O / T paid 1.

• Daily plant operations & maintenance including working with mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and correct adverse gas field and plant conditions and malfunctions.
• Respond to alarm conditions, troubleshoot, and repair systems, and restore operational capacity.
• Follow all health and safety requirements; participate in monthly safety audits and inspections.
• Maintain administrative logbook, drawings, instructions, manuals, spare parts inventory, and records.
• Support, assist, and direct the work of contractors on-site.
• Routinely operate a motor vehicle and off-road vehicle on undeveloped terrain.Requirements : Simply put this is a hands-on maintenance mechanic role and is perfect for a former Navy GSM, Engineman, Aviation Mechanic, or equivalent.

The hiring manager is a former Navy GSM and he is seeking to hire a solid mechanic with some post-military maintenance experience.

Candidates must have knowledge of mechanical, electrical and instrument control systems including equipment such as motors, blowers, controls, and pumps and excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and recommend sound alternatives.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
