Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the nursery, ordering product and assiting with sales.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of nursery operations, including staff management, scheduling, and budgeting
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the customers and staff
- Recruit, train, and supervise nursery staff members
- Provide guidance and support to staff members in their daily duties
- Maintain accurate records of chemical spraying and fertilzation
- Collaborate with the owners who run multiple businesses to ensure daily operations continue in a forward movement
- Ensure all product is kept in sellable condition and provide training to new staff members
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the plant nursery field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of plants is a must
- Ability to handle customers in every aspect the good and bad
Skills:
- Managerial experience preferred

- Knowledge of Clover POS System (willing to train)
