Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. JOB OVERVIEW:
This is a high-level managerial position where the employee is responsible for organizing, directing, controlling, evaluating, and implementing through a functional management team the production operations of high-quality mining accessories, railroad, snowplow, System 2000 Boards, custom machining equipment, fabrication equipment, and drill steel products to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Secondary School Diploma Required; College/University Degree, A Plus
· Minimum Five (5) Years Supervisory/Managerial Experience Required; or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
· Forging/Stamping Experience Preferred
· ISO 9001 Experience, A Plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the plant production operations to ensure adherence to quality standards in the manufacturing of products.
· Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to cost-effectively use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production demands.
· Develop production schedules to maintain a sufficient inventory of raw materials and
· finished products to meet customer demand.
· Develop and coordinate production and quality/safety inspection reporting procedures to facilitate adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
· Develop and coordinate machine/equipment maintenance schedules to facilitate cost-effective product production.
· Hire and supervise training of employees in the use of machines/equipment and production procedures.
· Submit required reporting to senior management.
· Attend corporate training sessions to acquire innovative procedures to maintain competitive edge in production operations.
· Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by senior management.
