Job Description

The Plant Manager will lead, direct, and manage the day to day activities of the Lititz plant to achieve the short and long term operating and strategic objectives set by R.W Sauder Inc. The Plant Manager will also direct, coach and mentor the staff to best meet production goals, while also transforming the workforce to a highly enabled and engaging one.

Principle Accountabilities

• Manage the operation so that the working environment is maintained at the highest level of safety; housekeeping, sanitation, appearance, and physical condition to ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, SQF, GMP’S and PPE
• Work with operators, vendors and purchasing agent to improve packaging materials performance
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) to assess labor, productivity, and quality to meet facility goals
• Build a team culture that is centered on the company’s vision, mission, and values statement
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training for employees by developing and implementing plans to improve their abilities
• Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations climate that will result in all employees considering their facility a fair and equitable place of employment with opportunity for personal development and advancement.

Knowledge Requirements/Key Attributes

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal)
• Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, complex, fast-paced environment at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in driving initiatives, holding self and team accountable for results and ensuring continuous improvement.
• 3 to 5 years plant/general management experience in manufacturing
