Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Plant Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Description:
    This person will work at a well-established polymer additives manufacturing plant that was recently acquired by a new company. Previously, this site was managed by an out-of-state site manager who also had responsibility for this facility. The new company would like to install a plant manager over this facility. This person will develop this non-union site into their own vision, supervising existing staff and adding a few positions as well. The facility is located near a strong school system, is a day’s drive from NYC, and is obviously close to the water as well. Full benefits are included with the offer and the company offers a 401K match plus an additional company contribution of 6%. Relocation assistance is available.
     
    Minimum Requirements:
    • B.S. Chemical Engineering or Chemist 
    • 10 years’ experience, 2 years of experience as a Plant Manager or a Production Superintendent/Manager out chemicals having supervised 15 personnel
