Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Plant Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     As Plant Manager you will have operational responsibility and accountability for production line(s) in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment. You will provide leadership and implement organizational strategies in production area(s) to meet safety, quality, and production design goals in addition to cost objectives, product/technology development, and promoting a strong team atmosphere.


    What You’ll Do:

    • Actively lead and support plant safety programs
    • Establish systems to ensure conformance of product to quality requirements that meet or exceed standards
    • Manage operations to meet product demand requirements, exceed machine design parameters, and facilitate product/technology development opportunities
    • Actively pursue ways to meet site yield expectations and cost objectives
    • Create an environment that promotes empowerment and accountability at all levels of the organization


    What You’ll Bring:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree required, with preference given to a technical or engineering discipline (must be from accredited institution)
    • 10-15 years of relevant management experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
    • Prior profit/loss responsibilities and a demonstrated ability to identity costs, and what levers to pull to get results to the bottom line.
    • Strong communication and people leadership skills
