Plant Operations Manager oversees the daily operational activities of a plant or production facility. Develops and manages production schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Operations Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Additionally, Plant Operations Manager oversees staffing and development of all production supervisors and staff and facilitates labor relations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Plant Operations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Plant Operations Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     About the Plant Finance Manager:

    The Plant Finance Manager will serve as a key leader within the finance team, providing critical support to Operations and ensuring the integrity of financial controls related to inventory management and costing. This person will partner with the Operations team to drive company initiatives in the areas of inventory, financial controls, revenue recognition, and standard costs. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated change agent who will work simultaneously with the Operations team and support the Director of Manufacturing Finance in driving all m/e close activities. The Plant Finance Manager will also manage project accounting revenue, costs, and margins, and assist with m/e close reporting and forecasting packages. They will help to drive compliance with all inventory/revenue financial controls, as well as help to drive all monthly forecasts and annual budget deliverables.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review, analyze, and maintain inventories to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial controls.
    • Manage project accounting revenue, costs, and margins, including contract review file preparation for non-retrofit projects and monthly revenue recognition.
    • Assist the Director of Manufacturing Finance with month-end closing reporting and forecast packages, including updating backlog with forecast inputs from project management.
    • Analyze labor spend vs absorption, forecast absorption, and work with department managers to mitigate variances to budget/forecast.
    • Create and present standard cost update analysis to support decision-making processes.

    Special Projects:

    • Ensure accuracy of the ERP Revenue Recognition Module and oversee integration of projects under $250k and service projects into this module.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate projects under $250k into the ERP Revenue Recognition Module by Q4.
    • Determine timeline and strategy for integrating service projects into the ERP Revenue Recognition Module.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on inventory management, costing, and project accounting within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (Epicor experience preferred).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
