Position: Plant Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Plant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant and will be responsible for ensuring the plant meets quality standards, safety standards, and customer requirements. The Plant Manager will also be responsible for the plant’s production schedule. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, and be able to prioritize tasks. Essential Functions:

• Supervise the manufacturing operations of the plant.
• Ensure that all manufacturing processes are carried out according to established procedures and regulations.
• Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that safety standards are followed throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is in good working order and is following established procedures.
• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
• Coordinate with customers regarding inventory levels and shortages.
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreement
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concept
• Prepare monthly reports on production
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations or related field preferred; or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven managerial experience
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
