Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates workers' activities in all phases of plant operations. Develops and manages production and maintenance schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Superintendent utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals. Troubleshoots operational, materials, equipment, and staffing problems and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Plant Superintendent implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Plant Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Plant Superintendent typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Wastewater Plant Superintendent is responsible for senior-level managerial duties associated with effectively and efficiently overseeing all aspects of wastewater treatment plant operations, including the management of operations, maintenance, and personnel at our 20 MGD Gary L. Kron WRF in Mentor, Ohio and our 5 MGD Madison WWTP in Madison, Ohio. The Plant Superintendent reports to the Director of Wastewater.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a high school diploma/GED, drug screen, and a valid Ohio driver's license are required. Candidates must possess a valid Ohio EPA Class IV Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate. Candidates, without a valid Class IV license, who have applied for and been granted approval for the Ohio EPA Class IV Wastewater Treatment exam are encouraged to submit.
