Develops and manages production and maintenance schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Superintendent utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals. Troubleshoots operational, materials, equipment, and staffing problems and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Plant Superintendent implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. Pete Lien and Sons, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented plant superintendent who is responsible for the operational performance of the mineral processing plant located in Laporte, CO. The role reports directly to the Site Manager.
The superintendent is responsible for all operations and directly oversees four crews with a total of twelve hourly employees. The superintendent assigns tasks, oversees day-to-day activities, ensures quality and quantity of production, and makes recommendations for improvements.
The superintendent is responsible for ensuring safe operations including reporting and training, environmental reporting, ensuring that materials produced meet specifications, coordinating with the sales and maintenance teams, scheduling and tracking production, tracking inventory, and purchasing consumables.
Successful candidates must have an engineering degree, 3 years of industrial plant experience and be willing to live within 45 miles of the plant.
