Job Title: Plant Associate

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to safely and efficiently operate plant-based shredding and baling equipment
• Ability to perform basic shredder maintenance
• Must comply with all company standards
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other employees to do the same
• Safely operate a forklift and other equipment in order to complete tasks
• Responsible for loading/unloading trucks
• Works cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and co-workers in order to complete tasks
• Maintain the highest degree of security and control of customers’ confidential material presented for destruction at all times
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers with the highest degree of professionalism
• Ensures that the plant is maintained in a clean, neat, orderly fashion

Skills and Specifications

• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and completely
• Must have the ability to work independently and self motivation
• Must be able to load and unload materials using a forklift or other provided tools and equipment
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication

Physical Job Requirements

• Must be able to consistently lift material up to 70 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• The employee is required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, push and or pull up to 70 lbs., twist and/or turn, reach and pull above shoulder height

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree from an accredited institution
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• 1 year relevant work experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
