Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates workers' activities in all phases of plant operations. Develops and manages production and maintenance schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Superintendent utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals. Troubleshoots operational, materials, equipment, and staffing problems and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Plant Superintendent implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Plant Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Plant Superintendent typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Regency Golf Course – Golf Course Superintendent
Regency Golf Course at Monroe is a 9-hole golf course that features 1602 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 27. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the Regency at Monroe Golf Course opened in 2002. In Monroe Township, NJ - Regency Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep Regency Golf Course difficult yet friendly.
Ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for golf course management. As the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and agronomic practices associated with the golf course Previous supervisory experience is required but qualified assistant superintendents and recently retired turf professionals will be strongly considered.
Course Info
- 15k rounds annually
- Greens (A1/A4 bent – 2 acres) Tees (L-93 bent – 1 acres ) Apps (L-93 – 1 acre)
- Open layout, low disease pressure
Education and Experience Requirements
- 5 years of golf course management experience required with progressing responsibility
- Associates degree or certificate in Agronomy /Horticulture
- GCSAA membership in good standing
- Knowledge of local and federal regulatory compliance associated with golf management
- Must have a strong aptitude for golf business and effectively managing the crew and budget
- A qualified candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be highly organized, motivated and efficient with a strong attention to detail
- Communication and interpersonal skills are critical
- Priority focus on daily setup, moisture management and playability
- Will have or must obtain a NJ Commercial Pesticide License within 60 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary $30-35/ hr.
- 35-40 hour work week
