Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates workers' activities in all phases of plant operations. Develops and manages production and maintenance schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals. Being a Plant Superintendent utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity, identify issues, and achieve production goals. Troubleshoots operational, materials, equipment, and staffing problems and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Plant Superintendent implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Plant Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Maintain inventory and production control systems and related records
Assist with annual physical inventories and cycle count process
Oversee the fixed asset count process and associated reconciliation
Partners with Engineering on timing of capital projects and spend to accurately forecast working capital. Assists
with and reviews DCFs/project charters, as required.
Assist with month end closing including the preparation of month end journal entries
Assist with completion of monthly account reconciliations
Maintain and track scrap buyback and customer toll programs
Financial analysis and reporting on results and trends of operations primarily production and inventory data
Responsible for scrapping, inventory adjustments and a key member of MRB team
Assist In Scrap values and intra-company scrap pricing.
Assist Tracking E&O, LCM, and FCA inventory.
Maintain reconciliation for duty drawback and claims related to imported raw materials.

Assist with internal and external audits
