Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet-fed Offset Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating sheet-fed offset printing presses, strong communication skills, adept with technology, and a keen eye for detail. As a Sheet-fed Offset Press Operator, you will be responsible for participating in our continuous improvement culture, setting up, operating, and maintaining our printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to client specifications while ensuring the presses operate at high efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Operator is responsible for understanding and following all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to the operation of the presses, machine maintenance, customer and company needs.
· Set up and prepare sheet-fed offset printing presses for production runs.
· Operator is responsible for making sure all materials, inventory, tools, and supplies are available for use during operation and maintaining of the presses.
· Operate printing presses to produce printed materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and other commercial print products.
· Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistency and quality.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during printing operations.
· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing presses to ensure optimal performance.
· Work collaboratively with other team members, teams and company leadership to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certification or formal training in offset printing operations.
· Experience with computerized press controls and automation systems.
· Knowledge of color management and prepress processes.
· Any leadership or team leading abilities
