    Position: Warehouse CDL Delivery Driver

    Status: Full-time

    Salary: $20-25/hr.

    Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am – 5 pm OR 9 am – 6 pm

    About this role: The Warehouse Delivery Driver safely and expediently transports and maintains adequate inventories of large paper rolls at the warehouse and production facilities, delivers finished products for our customers, provides currier services, and processes all plant shipping, receiving, and waste while maintaining production floor order.

    What you'll do:

    • Load newsprint rolls at the supplier’s mill for transport to Northwest Offset Printing, inventory scan and unload rolls to the appropriate storage area.
    • Demonstrate and follow all safety procedures and requirements necessary for operating machinery within multiple facilities and when completing warehouse tasks.
    • Complete daily inspections of warehouses for paper security and safety
    • Communicate with Delivery, Administration, and Manufacturing Supervision to ensure proper paper rolls are available when required.
    • Visually inspect rolls to detect damage prior to hauling.
    • Keep the floors of the warehouses and trailers free of debris to minimize any unnecessary roll damage.
    • Make local and regional deliveries both according to scheduling and as circumstances require.
    • Check equipment (trucks, trailers, clamp trucks, forklifts, etc.) for proper operation and coordinate the maintenance schedules for this equipment with the company garage.
    • Document and maintain driving log and records in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation)
    • Bale paper waste and properly load trailer for returning to mill for recycling.
    • Load and unload delivery trucks
    • Maintain proper documentation for delivery of product and racking of product.
    • Sort, prepare and deliver the following to the recycling centers: wood, paper, Kraft paper, binders, bailer waste and metal bands.
    • ​Other duties as assigned.

    What you'll contribute to our team:

    • Must be 21 or older with valid driver’s license and DOT Physical to drive a commercial vehicle
    • Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays, unsupervised when needed
    • Able to work in inclement weather (i.e. rain, snow, cold, heat, etc.)
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Basic computer skills
    • Professional customer service skills
    • Forklift license or experience
    • CDL to drive trucks with CDL vehicle load weight restrictions (higher wage available)
