The Vaquero Club, an upscale golf club located in the private gated community of Vaquero in Westlake is looking for an experienced Kid's Club Lead Attendant. The best candidate should possess excellent people skills and a positive attitude.

This leadership role provides a friendly welcome to parents and a memorable experience for each child by organizing, monitoring, and planning activities. Engages children in conversation, activities and maintains a clean and safe environment at all times.

Essential Functions

• Acts as a backup to the Kid’s Club Manager by overseeing the staff and ensuring all safety and security procedures are followed
• Supervises children and maintains a safe environment by monitoring all interactions
• Assists the Kid’s Club Manager in planning special events
• Leads and participates in daily activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, sports
• Oversees all club events, such as Easter Brunch, 4thof July, etc.
• Ensures that all toys and children-accessible areas are clean, sanitized and organized
• Ensures every member signs in/out each child
• Provides feedback to members regarding their child’s experience
• Maintains a highly positive attitude and sets an example of a role model to the children
• Stays alert and focused, on the staff and children at all times
• Ensures meals are served in an orderly manner
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications:

• One year of childcare in a similar role is required
• One year of experience in a supervisory role is preferred
• Must enjoy working with children
• One year of customer service is preferred
• Must have patience and tolerance for children
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to the safety of children
• CPR, First Aid and AEF certification is required

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Must have flexibility with work schedule, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to participate in physical activity such as tennis, ping pong, fishing etc.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be mentally alert at all times
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift, kneel, bed, reach, and handle objects
