    Under the direction of the Assistant IT Director, the IT Operations Manager organizes, plans, and directs the systems team and the desktop support team. Responsible for service support for internal systems, strategic planning and execution, and relationship building with senior stakeholders as well aspossess strong leadership and presentation skills. This may include leading and educating candidates in the Career Advancement Training (CAT) program as a designated mentor, which will be overseen by the I.T. Assistant Director with the assistance of the Training and Development Department.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Practice, support, and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Muckleshoot Casino.
    • Manage 3rd-party vendor for day-to-day operations, including support desk, employee onboarding/offboarding
    • Partners with the executive sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives, and potential outcomes
    • Collaborate with department heads to find ways that IT can make delivering client work more efficient and pain-free
    • Provide on-call support when necessary.
    • Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
      Ensures and balances the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program
    • Leads reviews with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to identify organic or specific program needs and changes and directs the development of appropriate approaches to address.
    • Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications, and reporting.
    • Acts as an advisor and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
    • Leads the oversight of program projects' execution, their progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables.
    • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
    • Manage project scope and its impacts on business outcomes.
    • Control and manage project costs (including internal and external resources).
    • Assess project issues and risk as well as their resolution and communication to senior management, key stakeholders.
    • Understand the impact of changes of cost, schedule, scope, or resources on the project and the business value that it is intended to deliver.
    • Communicate project decisions, deliverables, project health and status, and issues and risks with all team members and key stakeholders.
    • Review/gather status reports from the team and issues weekly project/initiative status reports.
    • Ensure project tasks and deliverables meet requirements and completed on schedule.
    • Utilize the lifecycle methodology throughout all phases of the project. Maintain project documentation, including project initiation requests, capital and expense costs, project plans, lifecycle documents, and utilize approved tools.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING

    • Bachelor's degree, in MIS, Technology or related field. Four (4) additional years IT Operations Management experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
    • Six (6) years IT Operations Management experience within a mid to large size technical team in a progressive organization where Microsoft Windows 2003 and/or 2008, Exchange 2003 and/or 2010, XP and/or Vista and/or Windows 7 and enterprise level applications have been successfully implemented.
    • A minimum of five (5) years on the job experience providing sever/system troubleshooting, maintenance and enterprise application support.
    • A minimum of five (5) years on the job experience managing at least 5 or more people in a technical field.
    • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or equivalent knowledge.
    • ISEB (ITIL V3 Foundations) Certification

    HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL


    • Demonstrate expert Active Directory skills, specifically working with OUs, GPOs, server scripts and security are a must.
    • Demonstrate proven successful experience managing day-to-day IT operations in a 3-tiered Systems and Desktop support environment.
    • Exhibit expert active directory skills, especially working with OU's, GPOs, server scripts and security are a must.
    • Demonstrate skill in implementing disaster and recovery testing and procedures where security best practices have been applied.
    • Demonstrate ability in supporting, installing, and maintaining corporate-level applications such as SharePoint 2003, Microsoft Operations Manager, Systems Management Server, Windows Server Update Services, ISA, IIS, and SQL2000.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when interacting with users, managers, and team members, internal and external guests.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively resolve conflict among team members which may include internal/external guests.
    • Exhibit highly effective task management skills are required as the candidate will be managing multiple tasks for various team members as well as their own.
    • Demonstrate strong written skills for documenting technical systems and procedures.
    • Demonstrating the ability to explain highly technical concepts successfully verbally to technical and non-technical audiences will be vital to a candidate. In addition, this candidate must be able to consistently communicate with internal/external customers in a fashion that demonstrates a helpful professional attitude.
    • Demonstrate ability and willingness to be available on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week based on federal guidelines, having adequate transportation, and being willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime to meet department projects is required.
    • Utilize portable radio or cell phone to stay in constant contact with the Department, as needed.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    • Availability –Ability to work 40 hours per week, primarily Monday – Friday, dayshift. Some holidays, weekends, and nights may be required to support a 24/7 operation.
    • Physical –Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
