Plumber inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action using appropriate parts and tools. Being a Plumber complies with all required safety, building code and inspection requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Additionally, Plumber has completed required apprenticeship. Typically requires a high school diploma. Requires Journeyman Plumber status. Requires a State License for plumbing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plumber works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Description:
· Must be able to lift 75lbs
· Must be willing to work in confined/ tight spaces (crawl space , attic, closet, etc.)
· Willing to complete copper & PEX supply line installs per state code
· Complete installs of PVC material per state code
· Report to field supervisor upon job completion
· Take details material lists and order materials for job
· Proficient in soft soldier
· Work from heights up to 20’
· Operate power tools
· Hold a valid drivers license
· A valid Illinois State plumbing license is preferred
· Willing to work a rotating on call shift
