Being a Plumber complies with all required safety, building code and inspection requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Additionally, Plumber has completed required apprenticeship. Typically requires a high school diploma. Requires Journeyman Plumber status. Requires a State License for plumbing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plumber works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Our Apprentice Plumbers typically work Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm and earn a competitive wage of $16-$20/hour depending on experience.     A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN APPRENTICE PLUMBER

    As an Apprentice Plumber, you are eager to learn! You ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to here at The Meridian Company. Each day you arrive on time prepared with the necessary tools to be dispatched to customer locations. You go into our customers' homes and commercial buildings and assist our experienced plumbers with installations. As you assist them, they mentor and train you on everything from how to talk with customers to how to properly install plumbing systems and equipment.

    You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. You enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. And, you thrive as part of a team. Some of your time is spent participating in meetings and training sessions to advance your skills and stay at the top of your game. It is exciting to be part of our entry-level apprenticeship program, and you can't wait to advance in this practical, high-paying career!


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
    • Physical ability to lift up to 150 lbs
    • Basic computer and smartphone skills
    • Mechanical aptitude

    Any experience in the plumbing industry is a plus, but not required. We will train you! Are you motivated to learn a real trade? Do you have a positive, can-do attitude?
