Being a Police Lieutenant prepares and reviews reports. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed. The City of South Lake Tahoe Police Department is seeking a seasonal/limited duration position for an intern for assistance on data entry projects. Depending on the area of assignment or need this individual will work under the direct supervision of the Records Supervisor, The Dispatch Supervisor, the Administrative Assistant, or the Senior Evidence Technician. This position will support data entry for converting past cases from physical media to digital media, converting past training records from an obsolete system to the new TIMS program, as well as compliment the property room during the period of evidence technician recruitment. There may be a period in which this intern assists dispatch with call taking or data entry.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a state issued driver’s license, and have been or currently enrolled in curriculum related to Criminal Justice at an accredited institution of higher learning.
