Police Lieutenant jobs in Seattle, WA
Police Lieutenant supervises a team of police sergeants and other law enforcement support staff. Responsible for officer assignments, patrol operations, and investigations. Being a Police Lieutenant prepares and reviews reports. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, Police Lieutenant coordinates in-service training, staff performance evaluation and development. Requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justice or closely related field. Typically reports to a chief of police or police captain. The Police Lieutenant typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Police Lieutenant typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 15 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and CPR First Aid for the professional rescuer and Waterfront LG Certification.

- Must pass criminal background check.
Essential Functions:
- Must enjoy working with people.
- Work as a team with fellow lifeguards, city staff and management.
- Provide a safe environment for the public.
- Enforce beach front rules and regulations.
- Have good communication skills.
- Supervise swimmers.
- Rescue persons in distress.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Conduct basic beach front maintenance duties.
- Administer assistance and first-aid to accident and injury victims.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $19.25 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 26 per week
