Police Sergeant is responsible for supervising patrol officers and agents as assigned and maintaining the chain of command within the operations of the department. Responsible for developing training programs for department personnel, directing special units, preparing special reports or projects as assigned, receiving and reviewing reports from officers, and assigning personnel in accordance to specific needs. Being a Police Sergeant requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and/or additional certifications and at least 5-7 years of law enforcement experience. Typically reports to a chief of police, captain, or lieutenant. The Police Sergeant manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Police Sergeant typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance (DISS)

    General Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for instructing classes and courses with the 18F Intelligence Sergeant's POI; including but not limited to; 45 students on intelligence tools, data mining, evasion and targeting.
    • Responsible for coaching, teaching, and mentoring small groups of future Special Forces Intelligence Sergeants in conducting Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield for real world areas of responsibility.
    • Instructs in Geospatial Analysis within the Special Forces Intelligence Sergeants course by assessing evolving/emerging geospatial tools to utilize in future programs of instruction.
    • Education/Certification Requirements. Must be a Graduate of the 18F Intelligence Sergeants Course

    Minimum Requirements:

    • The contractor's SME III (Intelligence) is required to have TS SCI eligibility at the start of TO performance.
    • The Government requires the SME III (Intelligence) to have a Bachelor's degree, at minimum, in any field and be a graduate of the Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant's Course (SFISC).
    • The contractor's SME III (Intelligence) shall have a minimum of ten years of experience in multidiscipline intelligence analysis, target development, force protection, and data mining supporting SOF;
    • five years of experience within the last ten years with Arc Geospatial IS (GIS), Analyst Notebook, Link Analysis, Distributed Common Ground System -Army (DCGS-A), Google Earth, Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), and Microsoft Office Programs;
    • five years of experience within the last ten years with Site Exploitation, creation of Target Intelligence Packets (TIP), Threat Vulnerability Assessments (TVA), and the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP);
    • five years of experience working within the Army intelligence enterprise collaborating directly with other members of the U.S. intelligence community within the National Capitol Region (NCR),
    • and five years as a military instructor or education professional at a professional education institution.
    • Comfortable speaking to large classrooms
    • Can communicate instructions effectively.
    • Able to breakdown technology topics and concepts to better relay them in the simplest form.
    • Be a self-starter, able to take self-initiative to identify skill or knowledge gaps and devise a solution with little to no supervision.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in or with SOF units
    • Experience teaching or as an instructor for large groups.

    Physical requirements:

    Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
