    RESPONSIBILITES FOR A HEALTHCARE AND POLICY COORDINATOR

    • Develops, organizes and facilitates presentation of programs and activities to target populations and institutions in the community that will promote nicotine-free policies, second and third hand smoke awareness, Clean Indoor Air Act (CIAA) education, and other Adagio Health and Tobacco program information.
    • Works with schools, colleges, housing sites, municipalities, boroughs, townships, cities, foundations, and other worksites to develop nicotine-free policies.
    • Creates and partnerships and professional collaborations throughout the region.
    • Collaborates with Adagio Health's legal team and other legal departments, human resource departments, and unions to ensure policies meet all restrictions and requirements.
    • Assists in the development, selection and distribution of educational materials within the community.
    • Participates on regional coalitions to promote collaboration among programming and gain partnerships.
    • Completes all policy documentation and prepares reports as needed.
    • Coordinate Enforcement and Compliance activity including providing oversite of subcontractors completing Act 112, Synar, and CIAA site visits, providing technical assistance to subcontractors, and completing reporting to managers and funders.
    • Coordinates cessation efforts within all healthcare and behavioral health facilities to ensure proper data collection and quality assurance.
    • Works with medical offices, dentist offices, and other medical service providers to develop nicotine-free policies and practices to better serve their patients, staff, and community.
    • Provide cessation classes pending Tobacco Treatment Certification within 3 months of hire.
    • Assists in the development, selection and distribution of educational materials within the community.
    • Participates in regional coalitions to promote collaboration among programming and gain partnerships.
    • Works collaboratively within the team setting to accomplish deliverables and programmatic goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HEALTHCARE AND POLICY COORDINATOR

    1. Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, health administration and policy, health education or a related field
    2. At least two (2) years' experience in community health
    3. Experience in health policy preferred.
    4. Ability to work with diverse individuals and institutions.
    5. Ability to commit to the principles of smoke-free living.
    6. Ability to travel regionally as required.
