Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of insurance policy change technicians to ensure that policy changes and requests are carried out according to established guidelines. Determines action on changes for which a policyholder has applied, but which are not covered by policy provisions, and computes costs or allowances for policy changes. Being a Policy Change Supervisor contacts policy owners and field agents with pertinent information that may affect a policy change. Does not have underwriting approval. Additionally, Policy Change Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Policy Change Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. What are we looking for in a Supervisor?
The Supervisor position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities to serve as leader of the Outpatient I team, which serves clients ages 18 and older who are experiencing a variety of mental health and substance use disorders. The Supervisor provides direction, guidance, and feedback to each member of the adult outpatient team, including providing clinical supervision and additional training when appropriate. The Supervisor is also responsible for tracking clients’ treatment progress and coordinating admissions & discharges, monitoring team caseloads and productivity, ensuring staff’s timely & thorough completion of clinical documentation, and implementing quality improvement measures. In addition to these administrative duties, the Supervisor will also maintain a caseload of therapy clients and provide backup support to the team on all clinical needs. This role requires a confident clinician who can provide feedback and motivate others, while also exercising excellent clinical judgment and effective communication skills. This position is part of our Walla Walla campus and has a schedule of mostly Monday-Friday day shift, though extra hours may occasionally be necessary.
