As Tax Associate, you will :

• Assist with developing training for field operations and seasonal support team :
• Coordinate with tax processing supervisors and LMS administrator to develop / update multiple types of training, including but not limited to;

online, webinar and classroom training

• Assist in creating training materials, such as, training books and online reference manuals
• Assist Director with :
• Tax Bonus and Tax Incentive Programs
• ECS (KOFAX and ONBASE) workflows
• Vendor Management review / evaluate current vendors and evaluate alternative vendors
• Revenue Reconciliation
• Amendment, IRS Letters (1040 Protect) Processing
• IRS e-Services (EFIN Maintenance)
• Coordinate with the Compliance Processing Team during regular season to process paperwork on accepted returns
• Assist with obtaining, renewing, and the maintenance of required IRS / State credentials related to tax preparation
• Maintain, review, and track Qualifying Questionnnaires used to determine employees’ eligibility for PTIN status
• Maintain the RIS Continuing Education for all PTIN holders Reporting with IRS CE Office
• Obtain / renew PTINs for all eligible employees including maintenance of PTIN Welcome Letters and coordinating with LMS administrator to update Learning Center and ULTIPRO (through OnBase)
• Monitor Help Desk phone logs to ensure that accurate records are being kept
• Provide reports to field supervisors as needed related to tax training, PTINs, compliance, and other items as needed
• Provide support to Tax Processing Supervisor as needed to assist seasonal support team members with question, including researching issues
• Manage Random Audits in the field
• Special projects as requested
• Prompt and regular attendance is required

You could be a great addition as Tax Associate, if you have :

• Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, including Saturdays as needed
• Prior income tax preparation experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Individual Income Tax Law
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Verbal and written customer service and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Comfortable presenting / training to In-Person and Online audience
• Travel could be required from September to November for regional trainings
• Meet IRS requirements to obtain and maintain a PTIN and participate in e-Services as a responsible official as defined by the IRS
