Swimming Pool Food Manager
Reports to: GM, AGM, Food & Beverage Manager, Event Director, Bar Manager
Supervises: Snack Shack Employees
Education and/or Experience
- High School Education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- ServSafe Certified – Level 1 or 2
- Maintains all proper certifications and training for self and pool staff.
- Private club experience preferred.
Job Knowledge and Expectations
- Broad knowledge of food safety/regulation
- Must complete monthly inventory
- Manage 1-5 staff members per shift
- Must be able to work with cash & credit card sales
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for the entire pool snack shack operation, including the safe and effective use of food equipment, coolers, freezers, slushie machine, nacho machine. Supervise safe, clean, well-maintained, and appealing club swimming facilities. Oversite of all food, menus, and execution of service to all members down at the pool, timing out tickets, checking on orders, memorizing members names, making sure staff is out and walking around taking orders every 10 mins. Keeping the snack shack and bathrooms always clean.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates staff.
- Signs in and charges for all guests for pool fees
- Enforces club rules of safety and conduct.
- Assists in rendering First Aid with lifeguards upon request of assistance
- Represents the club in activities as required.
- Assists in pool opening and closing at the beginning and end of season.
- Manages pool area lost and found articles.
- Manages pool area, including lockers and changing rooms for cleanliness.
- Oversees pool snack bar.
- Maintains presence during special pool events.
- Works with kitchen to present the best food possible
- Times out tickets to assure a fast delivery time of all food and beverage
- Has knowledge of drinks for members to enjoy
- Can train and teach staff about Jonas our PSO system
- Supervises a safe, clean, well-maintained, and appealing club swimming facilities
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Must have ServSafe Certification
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Working conditions are often, hot, humid, slippery and wet.
- Able to work in a busy, noisy environment.
- Able to tolerate the smell of chlorine and frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
