Pool and Health Club Manager - Casino jobs in Lynn, MA

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the General Manager and Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for the supervision and management of Pools at Dedham Health & Athletic Complex.

Experience:

• At least two years' experience in instruction and management of a wide variety of Aquatics programs and pool maintenance.
• Experience supervising staff and developing pool schedules and activities schedules, as well as good member relation and staff relation skills.
• Current company-approved national lifeguard certification required.
• Current pool operator's certification preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take on Swim Instructor and Lifeguard shifts as needed.
• Work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Conduct on-boarding and training for all direct reports.
• Focus on sales and retention by understanding appropriate criteria and reports.
• Effectively coach and discipline all direct reports.
• Mentor lifeguards through new hire development program.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Oversee lifeguard emergency action drills..
• Implement all aquatics standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the pool and spa comply with applicable state and local laws.
• Resolve any issues to eliminate interruption of aquatics services to members
• Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics
• Understand and uphold club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures
• Complete all in-house staff training as assigned
• Assume other duties as assigned

• Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, MS Windows)
• Familiarity with basic cash-handling procedures.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• At least 21 years of age.
