The Portfolio Manager reviews the customer's goals and develops investment strategies that will attain and support those objectives with acceptable risk. Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The Portfolio Manager is responsible for identifying prospective new products and new business through strategic alliances, ANDA submissions, new product acquisitions, licenses and/or joint ventures. This position identifies, researches, evaluates and recommends new business opportunities for corporate consideration.


    • Supports XGen DJB’s Mission and Vision statement by adhering to the Code of Corporate Values and conforming to established performance expectations.
    • Conducts thorough research on Products, compiling data analytics and gathering market intelligence
    • Provides insights proactively on Portfolio matters and supports team as required
    • Communicates clearly and effectively
    • Maintains a positive attitude
    • Examines potential business deals and evaluates market strategies, deal requirements and deal financials in accordance with corporate strategy
    • Evaluates and recommends negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operation; examining risks and benefit
    • Constructs and Manages new business deals by establishing requirements; developing contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
    • Demonstrates meaningful contribution to financial success of company through measurable achievements and timely outcomes
    • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.


    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in a life science or a pharmaceutical degree, plus minimum two years of pharmaceutical development and industry experience.

    Minimum: 2 years

    Operate standard office equipment.


    Physical Requirements:

    Possess sufficient manual dexterity to be able to bend, sit, stand and reach with hands and arms; Visual and auditory skills required, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and ability to speak and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.


    Compensation:
    Position pays between $96,800 and $125,900 when a candidate is considered proficient.
