The Portfolio Manager reviews the customer's goals and develops investment strategies that will attain and support those objectives with acceptable risk. Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Our Marketing team is growing, and we are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join the effort in supporting our internationally recognized construction tools and equipment brand.


    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and/or significant work experience in construction industry. They will assist in the development and implementation of our brand, marketing, and product release strategies. Portfolio Managers will leverage their prior experience and industry knowledge to support various internal teams (i.e. marketing, product development, and sales) and their initiatives. This person will be leaned on as an expert in their product portfolio. We are looking for a well-rounded candidate who is willing to learn and help us achieve our goals of being industry experts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of the MARSHALLTOWN’s brand, marketing, and product release strategies
    • Develop an understanding of competitor pricing, sales, marketing and distribution
    • Represent MARSHALLTOWN at industry trade shows
    • Field test new products and recommend improvements or modifications
    • Conduct marketing research and competitive analysis as needed
    • Bring forth gaps in the industry and our product portfolio
    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate campaigns and product releases
    • Help continuously develop the company’s brand and brand awareness
    • Developing sales growth strategies


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or significant work experience in construction industry—previous career in the trades or construction related field preferred
    • Strong writing ability and analytical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with high levels of accuracy
    • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Self-starter
