The Portfolio Manager reviews the customer's goals and develops investment strategies that will attain and support those objectives with acceptable risk. Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Responsibilities and Duties

    • Provide positive daily leadership that mentors and develops team members
    • Communicates clear expectations to all team members
    • Regularly measures and communicates performance feedback to all team members.
    • Monitors leasing activity for all properties in the portfolio and ensures leasing is performed according to Elevate expectations
    • Responsible for ensuring all properties in the portfolio adhere to the Elevate ancillary income and lease renewal programs
    • Ensures that all resident complaints, questions and inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner at all portfolio properties
    • Coordinates with Regional Manager, Director and asset management team on capital requests reviews property expenses as needed per Elevate spending authority guidelines
    • Ensures that each property in the portfolio effectively prioritizes the maintenance schedule as directed by the Analytics team.
    • Works closely with the Analyst to resolve issues with daily maintenance requests, unit make-ready schedule, resource needs and other maintenance related issues for all properties in the portfolio

    Qualifications and Skills

    • 3 years of team or project management experience is required
    • Bachelor's degree and property management experience is a plus but not required
    • Ability to think critically and use problem solving skills to suggest solutions to issues
    • Proven success with individual and team development
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Desire to develop and foster a strong and inclusive company culture
    • Proven ability to translate strategic initiatives into manageable pieces
    • Proficient in MS Office and general computer skills
