Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. NEPs real estate portfolio consists of leasehold properties in multiple countries across the globe including USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia. The properties serve a variety of purposes including office and administration, storage, operating and maintenance facilities supporting our field operations as well as technical production facilities such as studios and data centers supporting the services we provide to our customers.
This role is a central, shared service role supporting all business units. In recent years real estate management has been the responsibility of the local business units within the NEP group. This new role is intended to bring best practice governance, support and efficiencies to the management of the portfolio. Key duties will include:
Completing a set of real-estate optimization initiatives already underway under an externally-led consultancy project;
Identifying and delivering efficiencies and cost reduction initiatives on an ongoing basis;
Maintaining and building upon an existing central database of real estate interests;
Periodically reviewing all real estate commitments to ensure that our real estate assets remain aligned with the needs of the business
Implement a process to ensure that central database remains current and accurate;
Partner with local leaders to develop and implement real estate strategy and a decision/approval process for all real estate decisions
Establish a network of global and local professional advisors to meet real estate management requirements;
Minimum of ten years relevant real estate management experience, preferably in a global or multi-jurisdiction environment;
Be fluent in English. Other language capabilities would be an asset;
Financial analysis and accounting capability is preferred;
Must be an effective communicator;
