We are seeking a Scientist, LCMS to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Ithaca, NY.

As a Scientist in our Core LC/MS team, you'll employ advanced liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques for pivotal data collection in drug development and clinical trials. This role involves not only instrument operation but also maintenance, documentation in line with SOPs and regulations, and data processing aligned with our quality standards.
What you’ll be doing:
Performing LC/MS operations, including system setup, mass spectrometer calibration, tuning, optimization, and routine analysis with minimal guidance.
Assisting in method troubleshooting and data interpretation to support project management.
Collaborating with Study Leads and project teams on project communications and data generation.
Training entry-level LCMS analysts and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Developing methods within LCMS and handling equipment troubleshooting.
Working with small molecules, calibration, peptides, biomarkers, and nano flow materials.
Ensuring study objectives are met within the expected timelines.
Complying with all safety standards related to chemical hygiene and biohazard safety.
What We Are Looking For: The minimum education and experience required for this role:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
At least 2 years of experience in a scientific discipline, with preferred experience in quantitative bioanalysis.
Hands-on experience with LC/MS equipment, especially with advanced systems like triple quad mass specs.
Familiarity with various chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques.
Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills That Will Help You in the Role:
Proficiency in LC/MS techniques, including calibration, tuning, and optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially in equipment troubleshooting.
Experience with method development and understanding of pharmacokinetics.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
