Postdoctorate Scientist performs scientific research in collaboration with a research team. Primarily a temporary position. Being a Postdoctorate Scientist requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Postdoctorate Scientist works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conducts innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB. Committed to the discovery of new innovative biomedical and health services knowledge leading to increasingly effective and accessible health care. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and no experience required.
