    Job Overview:
    The Project Director will oversee the Department of Justice (DOJ) Campus Grant to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking on Campus. The Project Director collaborates with individuals and professional groups across the college as well as in the community.

    The Project Director will administrate/manage the DOJ Grant aimed at reducing Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking on Campus; chair the Coordinate Community Response (CCR) team meetings; schedule events and training, serve as the liaison to the community partners; coordinate community partnership; and manage the day-to-day implementation of projects, serve as the liaison with the contracted Public Safety provider and the College and between the College and local authorities.

    Essential Functions:

    • Lead the College and its partners through the DOJ Grant and follow a detailed timeline for activity as a part of our continuation grant
    • Provide oversight and coordination of grant objectives, including training programs for campus departments, law enforcement, and local victim advocacy agencies to assure effective crisis response and long-term support and care for campus victims
    • Develop and manage the Coordinated Community Response Team training and workshops
    • Create and execute campus-wide education awareness and prevention programs throughout the academic year
    • Work with individual marginalized groups– develop relevant prevention programming and to identify culturally-responsive resources for victims and survivors of gender-based violence
    • Attend three grant orientations yearly, Technical Training Institutes, scheduled webinars and other trainings required by the grant
    • Provide guidance and leadership to the Peer Educator program, a group of students who educate and promote healthy practices against power-based violence across the campus

    Qualifications:

    • Successful track record of managing a grant-funded project or programs, including managing budgets and tracking financial expenditures, gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports
    • Work experience addressing the topic of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking; and practices in violence prevention
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
    • Ability to travel for grant-related training and institutes approximately three times per year
    • 2 years of related professional experience in an educational or social service setting

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health Profession, or another related field

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Prior experience with OVW Campus Grant Program
    • A Master's degree in a related field is preferred
    • Experience instructing Bystander Intervention
    • Technical proficiency using a computer and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite

    Special Work Schedule Requirements:
    The position requires travel for grant-related activities. Traditional office hours are M- F, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, but flexibility is required as frequent evening and weekend availability is necessary.

    The position requires the ability to use a computer and other standard office equipment requiring repetitive arm/hand movements is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to speak in group settings.

    Work Schedule Requirements:
    Hybrid Availability: Yes, based on supervisor approval

    Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
