    Job Summary: The Marketing Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and materials. This will include the RailPros proposal team and coordinating their response and submission efforts. The Director will work closely with the Chief Sales and Growth Officer in supporting the business development teams’ responsibilities around client engagement and account development.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lead the proposal management team, providing guidance on the proposal development/submission process
    • Support business development team(s) in their efforts around client engagement
    • Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches
    • Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products
    • Coordinate the organization’s advertising and promotional activities
    • Maintain knowledge on emerging products and services
    • Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization
    • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs

    Qualifications


    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Apply logical thought processes and organizing resources to solve issues and meet commitments
    • Make decisions and seize opportunities in the context of BA business objectives
    • Partner effectively with others to achieve results
    • Satisfy internal and external customer expectations and developing customer partnerships
    • Proficient with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)

     

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required
    • At least 5 years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
    • At least 10 years of marketing and/or proposal experience in the AEC and/or railroad industry
    • At least 5 years in a management role
    • Extensive experience reading and responding to RFPs
    • Understanding of AEC and/or railroad industry terminology and delivery methods
    • Advanced level proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, support, and develop direct reports
    • Senior Proposal Managers, Proposal Mangers, and Proposal Coordinators
