As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. We are seeking a Human Resources Director to partner with our US fluid power operations sites.

You'll be supporting the business strategy with key priorities of talent management and building organizational capability; creating a high performance, high engagement culture; and pursuit of continuous improvement and global HR functional excellence.

You'll be providing leadership and strategic guidance across 9 US Fluid Power Manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as a business partner and leader on human resources policies and practices within the business.

Drive core HR process excellence across the business: leadership and employee development, performance management, reward and recognition, employee engagement, and communications.

Work with Global Recruiting and help lead staffing activities across the US manufacturing facilities.

Lead strategic development and implementation of improved onboarding and assimilation processes in assigned facilities.

Provide functional human resources leadership to site HR managers.

Serve as the functional driver and process owner for organization capability and talent assessment, selection and development.

Partner with HR leadership at Gates Headquarters as well as counterparts in other businesses and groups.

Communicate and deploy corporate-wide HR initiatives across the business.

Lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Deliver change management methodology to internal customers.

Partner with compensation, benefits to deliver effective recognition programs for the business.

Manage labor and employee relations matters and ensure legislative compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsible for key performance indicators of HR effectiveness and HR analytics.

Travel between 40% and 60% across US manufacturing sites.

Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
-
10 years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles. Manufacturing experience, preferred
-
B.S. Degree in related discipline required
-
MS/MBA highly desirable
-
Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set
-
High level of influencing, coaching, and communication skills (written and verbal)

Proactive, with ability to plan, take charge and organize
-
Results orientation with a high degree of resilience and perseverance
-
Ability to see overall picture while also having an attention to detail

Capable in talent assessment and selection; organizational and HR analytics

Demonstrated success in building organization capability and upgrading talent

Ability to staff and develop an effective and capable HR team

Deep HR functional experience and generalist assignments in a variety of environments (union and union-free operations)

Demonstrated business acumen and change leadership capability

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
