The Assistant Manager is responsible for scheduling employees, training new employees, hiring new employees, and handling escalated customer complaints.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS AN ASSISTANT MANAGER: 

• Assist with executing Essential Fuels strategic initiatives, driving sales, and maintaining quality and service standards.
• Ensure the store is stocked and clean so we can continue to build strong relationships with our guests and communities.
• You'll have the privilege of becoming a mentor to your team, helping them succeed and grow.
• Maximize store sales with high level of execution of merchandising and marketing programs.
• Proficiently executes job responsibilities within the following areas: associate orientation, customer orientation and food presentation/concept execution.
• Assess store condition and customer service levels and correct issues with limited direction.
• Assist in managing controllable cost by being educated on procedures for reducing inventory control, cash control, margin objectives and day-to-day operations expenses.
• Responsible for ensuring personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate an ability to support a positive work environment.
• Exhibits professionalism in appearance, conduct and judgment.
• Support store operations by leading associate training and onboarding, customer service and food presentation, completing inventory counts, completing daily checklist, following food concept program guidelines, and running cash register, when needed.
• Oversee Inventory management which includes managing relationships with vendors approving or facilitating purchases as needed; negotiates related pricing contracts and verifies costs and receipts.
• Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Manages daily aspects of the department and its staff to ensure projects are completed and goals and customer needs are met.
• Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports.
• Ensures company policies are followed.
• Ensures that health, safety, and security rules are followed.
• Manages conflicts and resolves complaints about or within the department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Previous management experience is preferred.
