Position: SALES CONSULTANT at International Diamond Center

Reports to: Store Manager

Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Average Annual Income: $60,000-$65,000 per year

Job Summary:

The Sales Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring a great guest experience and maximizing profitability by achieving daily performance objectives. They are the first and last point of contact for our customers, making their role pivotal in setting the mood and atmosphere of our store. We are seeking a candidate who brings energy, enthusiasm, and product knowledge to create a positive and engaging shopping experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Approach potential clients, offer advice, and assist hesitant customers in making a decision
• Close sales and ensure customer satisfaction
• Prevent store thefts and maintain a secure environment
• Process sales invoices, repair invoices, and customer layaway and special orders
• Follow up on repair invoices for vendor pricing, customer pricing, and delivery dates
• Coordinate customer pickup of repairs, special orders, and layaways
• Assist in resolving customer issues as they arise
• Interact with customers and team members on the showroom floor
• Prepare and process customer credit applications
• Maintain a presentable showroom at all times
• Assist with complimentary jewelry cleaning and gift wrapping upon client's request
• Answer phones at the store and provide exceptional customer service over the phone
• Maintain a customer log for follow up purposes, such as future sales, birthdays, and anniversaries
• Stock inventory in cases when the store receives new merchandise
• Set up display cases every morning and break them down at night, ensuring all merchandise is secured
• Assist with any other related duties as assigned or requested
• Special projects will be assigned as needed
