    About the position

    Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for a Director of Product to join our Trading Team. As the Director of Product at Altruist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, strategy, and direction of our trading product portfolio. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, leadership skills, and deep understanding of technology and user experiences. You will collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring our products meet market needs and drive the company's growth and strategic goals.

    What you’ll do

    Product Vision and Strategy

    • Define, communicate, and champion the trading product vision and roadmap.
    • Ensure alignment of the product strategy with the company's strategic objectives and growth targets.

    Team Leadership

    • Hire, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing product managers.
    • Foster a collaborative culture, inspiring the team to deliver their best work.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and launch.
    • Represent the product team in executive discussions, presenting product plans and performance metrics.

    Market Insights

    • Continuously gather and analyze market data, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
    • Validate product ideas through prototyping, market testing, and customer feedback.

    Product Execution

    • Oversee all stages of the product life-cycle, from ideation through launch and iteration.
    • Ensure that products are delivered on time, on budget, and meet quality standards.

    Performance Metrics

    • Define and track key product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions.
    • Conduct regular reviews to assess product performance and identify areas for improvement.

    Risk Management

    • Anticipate and mitigate potential challenges or roadblocks in the product development process.
    • Address and resolve any issues that may affect product success.

    Stakeholder Communication

    • Keep internal stakeholders informed about product development progress, challenges, and successes.
    • Regularly update executive leadership on product performance and strategic alignment.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

    What you’ll bring

    • Ten years of product management experience, with five years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of delivering successful B2B/B2C products to market.
    • Familiarity with fintech trading solutions for equities, options, mutual funds and fixed income.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    Los Angeles, CA salary range
    $200,000—$260,000 USD
