JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the maintenance technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment and building facilities.

- Installs,
maintains and repairs production equipment such as continuous aerating mixer,
ovens, packaging machine, depositors, washers, conveyors and the like.
- Installs,
services, and repairs electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators and
other related equipment using various hand and power tools of the maintenance
trades.
- Installs,
maintains and repairs air compressors and other air conditioning equipment
using various machine tools.
- Moves
and replaces machinery and auxiliary apparatus using hand and electric trucks,
forklifts and dollies.
- Installs,
maintains and repairs pumps, drives, valves and pipes using various maintenance
tools.
- Replaces
fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches and other electrical
equipment following electrical specifications.
- Provides
training to machine operators on the proper use of equipment.
- Maintains,
records and prepares reports related to the repairs and maintenance.
- Ensures
proper use, care and storage of tools and equipment
- Performs
welding jobs

cleanliness of work area

- Perform
other job/task or maintenance expertise related assignments in order to develop

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
- This
position requires high school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- An equivalent of five (5) years
experience in welding, refrigeration, electrical/mechanical maintenance
Bona Fide
Occupational Qualifications (BFQs) (Required Training, License & Certification)
Preferred Qualification:
- Two-year
degree in specialized maintenance
- Computer
literate (Proficient in MS Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Have a
valid welder’s certificate

- Knowledge
of servicing and maintenance of simple power, heating and cooling units

to do routine mechanical or electrical maintenance and care for tools and
equipment
- Knowledge
of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the maintenance trades
- Must
have a valid driver’s license
- Being a
forklift certified operator an advantage
- Good
problem-solving skills
- Ability
to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such
as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and the likes.
