Power Plant Operations Manager manages and oversees the daily operations of a power generation plant. Monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed. Being a Power Plant Operations Manager directs the implementation of preventative maintenance, emergency and operational plans and procedures. Ensures all applicable regulatory requirements are and safety protocols are followed. Additionally, Power Plant Operations Manager resolves problems and manages resources. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Power Plant Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Essential Functions of Job:

Supervisory Capacity: Direct Reports: 1-5
• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the obtainment of production schedules in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor daily established KPI’s to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Provide root cause analysis of production and quality issues and make appropriate decisions based on risk analysis.
• Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed KPI’s when they are not met.
• Lead YFIMS and YF iOS plant floor initiatives to ensure Operations compliance.
• Oversee staff levels within each department by shift and ensure not to exceed authorized levels. Monitor and control planned and unexpected overtime.
• Assure that all plant guidelines and procedures are adhered to.
• Communicate regularly with direct reports and management and supervise their performance in all functions including performance evaluation.
• Provide Plant Manager a daily production update and weekly summary.
Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide Plant manager monthly production information for monthly MOR.
• Position may have some department managers reporting into; CI, Maintenance, Tooling, Launch, Engineering, Supply Chain and Production Managers.
