Job Summary

Ensure that the department operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by leading, organizing, and training employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals. Primary responsibility includes the oversight of the Windsor, WI location.

Key Departmental Responsibilities

• Work effectively with all levels of leadership to ensure goals are met. Drive net productivity within the departments.
• Effectively mentors and develops team leads. Establishes objectives and communicates frequently to help build employee morale, motivation, and commitment.
• Develops, reviews, and recommends operational improvements involving equipment, systems, activities and practices to drive efficiency and productivity.
• Promote a 5S and continuous improvement environment.
• Help promote a team culture that encourages operational excellence.
• Take immediate action to eliminate unsafe conditions to prevent worker injury.
• Develop, implement, and review policies, procedures, and documented work instructions.
• Prepares, recommends, and maintains budget and operational expenses.
• Operate in conformance with the requirements of the Alliant Power quality management system.
• Assist other employees both in and out of the department.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• Provide feedback on system needs/changes.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a distribution, warehousing, or logistics environment or HSD/GED and at least 7 years of experience in a distribution, warehousing, or logistics environment. A deep understanding of lean principles is a plus. Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees. Excellent communication skills. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint and demonstrated proficiency learning/operating within an ERP. Within first 90 days, must be proficient within our systems.
