Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Engineer to join our team. As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of our plant systems and equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and drive continuous improvement.
Under supervision of the Power Plant Engineer and general direction of City Administration, this position performs skilled and supervisory work in operation and maintenance of an electric power generation plant. Assists Power Plant Engineer in planning, coordination and reviewing work of subordinate personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training and experience that will provide the incumbent with required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned work. At least five (5) years of progressively responsible work in power plant maintenance work (and as working leader, if possible) is desirable.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work performed by this position occurs primarily indoors. Some danger of explosion is present in some of the tasks to be performed (or supervised). The normal work week is 40 hours. However, this position is subject to emergency responses and/or extended day work requirement.
