Power Plant Operations Shift Supervisor jobs in Boulder, CO

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of Production Operators who are working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Leveraging manufacturing experience and leadership abilities, this position contributes to daily direction in Solid Power’s growing Pilot Production area. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Job Duties:

• Directly supervise production operators during the 1^st shift, to include shift kick and handoff and end of shift responsibilities.
• Oversee daily operations of production lines.
• Prioritize team workload.
• Champion a culture of continuous quality and productivity improvements.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
• Maintain general lab safety and daily work cleanliness.
• Support employee development.
• Direct resource management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Actively engage in talent management through optimization of hiring, training, and team member development.
• Review quality output with team and management.
• Collaborate with customers and cross functional teams.
• Coach team members in technical and behavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact business results.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science preferred, or equivalent years of experience required. High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 7 years of supervisory, team lead or managerial
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial
• Battery industrial manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Experience with an ERP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel. Ability to create spreadsheets, basic formulas, create tables, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment.
• Ability to convey information with clarity and directness.
• Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable wearing the required safety PPE daily including full-face respirator, hair net, gloves, safety glasses and Tyvek suit.
• Experience with slot die, cascade die, or curtain die fluid application methods on a roll-to-roll coating process is a highly desirable.
• Experience with other fluid application methods on a roll-to-roll coating process is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of common industrial processes and testing protocols for thin coatings is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in thin film/paper roll-to-roll processing is highly desirable.
• Ability to inspire a team.
• Availability to work a 1st shift schedule, which is 5:30am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday

Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000/annually
